Brighlands High School, Dehradun on Monday won the National Championship Finals of Limca Book of Records Quiz, 2010 held at Birla High School here.
The team of Anmol Bhargava and Amartya Ghosh were declared the National Champions.
Not far behind, Nath Valley School, Aurangabad and Vishakha Valley School, Vishakhapatnam emerged as the 1st and the 2nd runners up in the National Finals of the Limca Book of Records Quiz.
At the National Finals 10 schools competed against each other to win the coveted National Quiz championship.
The winner and all the participating school teams were felicitated by Kolkata Mayor Sovan Chatterjee, Shashi Panja, Mayor in Council, Education, Kolkata Municipal Corporation and Atul Singh, President & CEO, Coca-Cola India & South West Asia.
Chatterjee said, ?Kolkata is where quizzing began. I congratulate the winners and all the young students from across the nation who participated in the competition.?
The 10 schools participating in the National Championship Finals of Limca Book of Records Quiz, 2010 included Army School, Faizabad , Brightlands School, Dehradun, FIITJEE, Hyderabad, Vishakha Valley, Vishakapatnam, Nath Valley School, Aurangabad, Navy Children School, Goa, DAV Model School, Durgapur, Don Bosco, Liluah, Sunbeam School Bhagwanpur, Varanasi and Silverline School, Ghaziabad.
The multicity initiative was launched in partnership with ?Know & Grow with Derek? with a participation of over 1800 young geniuses from class 8-12. As part of the initiative, a series of quiz competitions were organized in over 3400 schools in 100 cities.
