Goa Univ. to hold first Centralized Campus Recruitments

In its first initiative, Goa University (GU) will be organizing Centralized Campus Recruitments (CCR) for all non-professional colleges of all streams on April 30.

Around 500 under graduates and post graduates would be sitting for the recruitment process to be held in the GU campus. More than 30 renowned companies from Goa and across the country interested in hiring talent will be participating in the ?Recruitment Fair?.

GU Assistant Registrar Rajesh Bhatikar said that CCR will offer opportunities for the non conventional courses like social studies and languages.

GU, Goa?s only renowned university has not included professional colleges in the fair as the latter have their own recruitment drive.

Companies like Fomento, Sesa Goa, HDFC, Wipro, Patni Computers Ltd, Vodafon, HDFC and other firms have deputed their placement officers to conduct interviews. The recruiting institutes also include NGOs like HelpAge India and Smile Foundation.

The deal between the GU and recruiting firms are that GU will only provide candidates and not interfere on the salary packages offered by the companies.
