Bollywood celebrated to dandiya ras
Even as festive fever grips almost all of India, courtesy the holy season of Navratras, tinsel town was seen doing what it does best- dance! Actor Zarine Khan celebrated the festival with great joy and fervor in Surat.
An ecstatic Khan was seen jiving to traditional folk tunes as hundreds of locals cheered during her performance. Meanwhile actor Manisha Koirala was seen swinging on traditional folk tunes and performing ,garba during Navratri celebrations in Mumbai.
Maharashtra Navnirman Sena Chief, Raj Thackeray was also seen performing traditional ritual and paying obeisance to goddess Durga. Groups of young people dressed in traditional attire with women wearing long skirts dancing to folk tunes and performing “dandiya” with a pair of sticks is a common sight during the festival in Maharashtra.
