Actor Boman Irani feels that every character shown in a film tells a story and also teaches about the society.
“I have always believed that an actor also tells a story via his character. And I feel that any expression – be it acting, writing a book, making a film, painting or dancing – is an expression. If people can know and feel something about the society through it, it is very good,” the 52-year-old said here at an event.
Boman has played a strict medical college dean in “Munnabhai M.B.B.S.”, a deceitful property dealer in “Khosla Ka Ghosla” and a middle-aged man in “Honeymoon Travels Pvt Ltd” and these characters, more or less, are identifiable with the society.
Boman confesses to be an avid reader, but says he is not interested in penning down anything himself right now.
“You need to invest a lot of time in order to write a book and research a lot. Right now I am an actor and an entertainer. Let me be an actor. When I start getting bad reviews from people, then I will write a book. Till then let me act,” said Boman, who is also a professional photographer.
Boman’s recent releases were “Don 2: The King is Back” and “Ek Main aur Ekk Tu”. His next film is “Housefull 2” that hits theatres April 5.
