Doraemon is highest rated kid’s movie
The Indian television premiere of Doraemon’s first movie “Doraemon in Nobita’s Little Space Wars” is the highest rated movie of the decade on kids genre.
The premiere, aired on Hungama TV, delivered 4.34 TVR among all kids (CS 4-14 ABC) in HSM & 3.71 TVR among all kids (CS 4-14 ABC) in All India. Over 5.4 million individuals (CS 4+) tuned into the movie on the day of its premiere making it the #1 programme for kids across all TV.
The premiere put Hungama TV on top across all channels in HSM with 1.22 TVR among all audience (CS 4+Yrs) and in All India Market with 1.02TVR.
Advertising partners have also benefitted from the unprecedented viewer response to the Doraemon movie, which showcased Disney?s ability to deliver great content combined with advertiser value at differentiated price points, claimed the channel.
Voted as kid’s most favorite character in ‘Small Wonders’ a periodic study by Ormax (Jan 2010 – October 2010, kids 6-14 yrs) Doraemon is also the anime ambassador for Japan in 2008 and has also been acclaimed as an Asian Hero in a special feature survey conducted by Time Asia magazine in 2002.
