Singer Kalpana has bagged nomination at Radio Mirchi Awards for her item song in Akshay Kumar starrer Hindi film ?Khattha Meettha?.
Her song ?Aila re aila, haath jamailya? has been nominated for ?Best Item number Mirchi Award 2011?.
Kalpana has sung the number with Punjabi pop singer Daler Mehndi. The song became popular among the masses though the movie didn?t do well. But for Kalpana, this song turned out to be lucky.
Kalpana has been admired not only in Bihar, but across India for her splendid singing.
She has sung over 150 Bhojpuri songs and 100 Hindi songs, and in more than 400 radio and TVC jingles.
The singer, who is from Asaam, will be releasing an album with Times Music very soon, where she will be singing the poetry of famous Bhojpuri poet Bhikhari Thakur.
