Popular singer Kumar Sanu releases his puja album

Kolkata : With the Durga Puja close at hand, popular singer Kumar Sanu launched his album ?Keno Ele Na? for the festive season at a city hotel on Wednesday.

A bevy of celebrities from the music fraternity including Pandit Ajay Chakraborty, Ustad Rashid Khan, Haimanti Shukla and Nirmala Misra were present at the launch of the album.

The eleven modern Bengali songs on the disc released by Dynamic Voice Audio are billed as ?very fresh and new compositions?.

“The songs sung by Sanu, will bring back the nostalgic melodious flavour of the golden era of Bengali music,” said a company spokesperson.

Speaking about the album, Pandit Ajay Chakraborty said, ?I heard the songs, and to me the lyrics are very solid and the music composition is very natural and melodious.?

?Sanu has struggled a lot in his early life. But now, he is in such a position that not only the people of Bengal, but the entire India feels proud to have a singer like him. And I bless him from the core of my heart,” said the classical vocalist.

Singer Haimanti Shukla was all praises for Kumar Sanu. “I came only because of my beloved Sanu,? she said.

?Recently he composed music for a Bengali film, in which I lent my voice. He is a person, who is very much down to earth. And after a long time, a singer of such repute is launching a puja album which I really appreciate. So, I wish him a lot for his new album,? said Shukla.
