Rakhi Sawant?s ?impotent? remarks drives man to suicide

Lucknow/Mumbai : Bollywood item girl Rakhi Sawant is facing allegations of abetting suicide of a 24-year-old man of Jhansi in Uttar Pradesh, who reportedly took his life after being termed impotent by Rakhi in a television show.

One Lakshman Prasad had appeared in Rakhi?s show, ?Rakhi ka Insaaf? on NDTV Imagine, in October to settle a martial discord with his wife Vineeta during which Rakhi shouted at Lakshman and termed him ?namard? (impotent).

Lakshman?s family said that he had agreed to participate in the show with the hope of finding a solution to the problems with his wife.

Lakshman and Vineeta were married in February this year but had been living separately after a month, with Vineeta alleging that a family member of Lakshman tried to rape her.

?We thought Lakshman will get justice at the show but instead he was called an impotent, much to his shock,? Lakshman?s family said.

After the show was aired, his neighbours started teasing him, which sent him into a state of shock and depression, his family further alleged.

?My son stopped eating and went into depression… we also took him to a hospital. He died on Wednesday,? Lakshman?s mother Savitri said.

Vineeta is also reportedly shocked at the treatment meted out to her husband by Rakhi.

Lakshman?s family is contemplating filing a police case against Rakhi.
