Indian cricket icon Sachin Tendulkar attended a special screening of Aamir Khan’s latest released movie ‘Dhobi Ghat’ at Mumbai on Thursday night.
An elated Aamir said that Sachin has enjoyed the movie and has appreciated it.
“Sachin said to me that he liked the movie very much,” Aamir said.
“It is since ‘Andaz Apna Apna’, ‘Dil Hai Ki Manta Nahin’ that we are friends,” he added.
“For the last twenty years he has seen all my movies,” he added, reports said.
For Sachin Tendulkar, who returned back from the South African tour midway due to injury, this movie break was surely refreshing.
Directed by Aamir’s wife Kiran Rao, the movie is based in the backdrop of Mumbai city and four characters.
“It?s an emotional story. But it?s a subtle film, a quiet film?it?s a slice-of-life sort of a film. It?s about four people and the city of Mumbai,” said Kiran Rao, who debut as a director with this film.
Aamir Khan has not only acted in the movie but has produced the movie as well.
The film was released on the silver screen on Jan 21.
