Salman Khan, Amitabh Bachchan battle it out

Mumbai : Apparently to settle scores with B-town hunk Salman Khan, Sony Entertainment Television is launching the fourth edition of Kaun Banega Crorepati (KBC) with superstar Amitabh Bachchan on the same day as Bigg Boss 4, starring Khan.

But isn?t the channel worried about losing out on TRPs?

Kaun Banega Crorepati 4 and Bigg Boss 4 will be on the same date and at the same time. Both the shows will start in October. Earlier, Salman Khan was the host for the show ?Dus Ka Dum?, which was aired on Sony Entertainment.

Now, it would be interesting to see Big B battle it out with his daughter-in-law Aishwarya Rai?s ex-boyfriend Sallu Miyan on the small screen.

Bachchan has been the host for Kaun Banega Crorepati for the first two seasons that turned out to be a mega success. But the third season hosted by Shah Rukh Khan did not make large bucks for the producers of the show. The makers are expecting that the fourth season will also repeat the history with Big B.

On the other hand, Bachchan, who was the host of Bigg Boss 3 was also approached for the fourth season. He rejected the offer, only to be picked up by Salman.

Meanwhile, another round of Salman-Amitabh clash would be interesting to watch after IIFA awards.
