For the longest time, the grapevine was buzzing about several known television faces being approached by producer Rajita Sharma to replace problem kid Priyal Gor on the show. It?s confirmed now that beautiful Sara Khan will play the role of the lead protagonist, Mona. Khan was recently seen as an inmate of a reality show.
Priyal?s difficult attitude and non-performance has been in the news and under the scanner ever since the show launched. Finally the production house has decided to replace her.
?This decision was not taken overnight. The team did try resolving the issue a lot of times. Infact, we had also spoken to her parents about her attitude and deteriorating performance but no luck,? says a source.
Mona?s character plays a pivotal role and the production house had to burn the midnight oil looking for a worthy replacement. They weren’t too impressed with other actresses they had shortlisted and decided to approach Khan, an offer she readily agreed to. Sara will be soon be seen in this role.
Sara Khan is very excited to bag the role of Mona and says, ?It?s a big opportunity to just come out of the reality show and bag a lead role in a primetime show. I loved the script and the storyline is at a very interesting juncture right now.?
The role of a young and exuberant Punjabi kudi is new to Sara and with her exceptional natural talent will give Mona?s role the much needed punch!
