Rs2.60 cr recovered from power thieves

Officials of the Bhandup and Navi Mumbai divisions of the Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company Ltd (MSEDCL) have been taking stern action against power thieves in the last 12 months, and have recovered Rs2.6 crore from them, lodging as many as 1,889 FIRs.Speeding up the drive against power theft, Mahavitaran’s Bhandup Zone checked 90,825 connections in Thane and Vashi circles in this period.
