The BOT (Build Operate and Transfer) committee of the Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) has decided to erect skywalks for pedestrians from Shivajinagar to Shaniwarwada Chowk and from Mandai to Swargate. A pedestrian was killed after he was run over by a state transport (ST) bus on Monday afternoon on the Bus Rapid Transit System (BRTS) route near the Sai Baba temple on Pune-Satara Road.The deceased, identified as Prakash Shivaram Adavde (30) of Mukundnagar, was killed while trying to cross the road by jumping the railings.According to the police, Adavde was hit on the head by the Makhjan-Chiplun-Pune ST bus which was headed for Swargate.
