Rotary to help children with congenital heart diseases
Rotary India Humanity Foundation of Rotary International, an organization of service clubs, on Tuesday launched a program titled ?Saving Little Hearts? under its health vertical.
Rotary International is an organization of service clubs known as Rotary Clubs located all over the world, bringing together business and professional leaders to provide humanitarian services.
?Saving Little Hearts? has been formulated and designed to ease the suffering and give the ?Gift of Life? to children suffering from congenital heart diseases.
Rotary India Humanity Foundation will allot Rs 75 crores for this program, said Director of Rotary International Shekhar Mehta.
President of Rotary International Kalyan Banerjee said, ? We are committed to doing at least 5000 heart surgeries over the next three years.?
?We are also concentrating on other areas in healthcare, education, environment, empowerment, disaster management and polio eradication,? said Mehta.
