The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) on Friday morning raided the office of Dravida Munnettra Kazhagam (DMK) owned news channel Kalaignar TV in connection with the 2G scam probe, reports said.
The CBI team had also raided the house of the Sharad Kumar, MD of the channel, reports said.
Media reports said that Karunanidi?s daughter Kanimozhi will also be questioned by CBI in this connection.
The CBI smells that a handsome amount of the money related to the scam may have been given to the channel, reports said.
The channel under the radar of CBI is owned by Tamil Nadu?s Chif Minister M. Karunanidhi?s second wife MK Dayaluammal (60 per cent stake) and his daughter Kanimozhi.
Meanwhile, reports said the CBI also raided the house of five Commonwealth Games Organising Committee officials in connection to the Commonwealth Games Scam.
AK Saxena, Nikesh Jain, RP Gupta, KUK Reddy and Sujith Lal, were the officials who were raided by CBI on Friday in connection to the CWG overlays scam.
