5 percent economic growth is clearly disappointing: PM
New Delhi : Prime Minister Manmohan Singh on Wednesday said that it is disappointing that growth had slowed down to five percent but this is temporary and the government is taking corrective measures to get back to eight percent growth.
Speaking at the Cofedration of Indian Industries the Prime Minister while admitting that corruption and bureaucratic inertia are plaguing the UPA, he said that running a coalition government is not easy.
The government is hopeful of a better performance in the new fiscal year and has pegged the annual economic growth to be as high as 6.7 percent.
