Adarsh railway stations to be upgraded

Out of 584 stations taken up for upgradation since last two years, upgradation of 442 stations as ?Adarsh Stations? will be completed by March 2011.

The remaining will be completed in 2011-12.

Disclosing this information in Parliament on Friday, the Minister for Railway, Mamata Banerjee has said upgradation of stations would provide safe drinking water, pay & use toilets, high-level platforms, better accessibility for the physically challenged and many other facilities at these Adarsh Stations.
