Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader LK Advani on Thursday compared the developments in West Bengal and Gujarat under rule of the Left and his party respectively.
Campaigning for his party for the second phase of West Bengal Assembly elections in Nadia district?s Nakashipara, Advani said: ?Look at the developments in Gujarat under BJP rule?and that too in a short span of time. Whereas, West Bengal has lagged behind in the 34 years of Left Front rule. They have failed totally to do anything good for the state.?
?It?s time for the people of West Bengal to bid adieu to the tired Left Front,? he said.
The second phase of West Bengal elections are scheduled to be held on Apr 23 in Murshidabad, Nadia, Birbhum and North 24 Parganas districts.
The total number of electors in the second phase is 9351325.
