Akhilesh promises fair probe into Khurshid’s trust allegation

Lucknow/ New Delhi : Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav today promised impartial probe into alleged financial irregularities by Union Law Minister Salman Khurshid’s trust.

Yadav, who has ordered investigation into Khurshid’s non-government organisation (NGO), said that appropriate decision would be taken by the state government after the probe.

Earlier in the day, raids were conducted on Khurshid’s trust in 17 places in Uttar Pradesh. Meanwhile, Congress leader Digvijay Singh defended Khurshid who lost his temper at reporters of a Hindi television news channel ‘Aaj Tak’ which broke the story.

Singh also sought inquiry into leakage of Comptroller and Auditor General (CAG) reports to media, which should be first tabled in the Parliament. Singh urged media not to report the issue, as matter was sub-judice.
