At Kolkata airport bus hit the parked Air India flight
Kolkata: At the city airport, a Jet Airways shuttle bus rammed into a stationary Air India flight. However, no casualty or injury was reported, an official said.
The incident happened at bay number 32 of Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose International Airport early Tuesday when the driver lost control of the bus and rammed it into the parked aircraft damaging one of its engines.
The driver of the bus was being questioned and the authorities of both Air India and the Jet Airways rushed to the spot, said Kolkata Airport director A. K. Sharma.
“A probe has been ordered to be conducted by regional safety manager, Directorate General of Civil Aviation,” Sharma said.
There were no reports of any injury or casualty, added Sharma.
