Three crude bombs were recovered from a compartment of the New Delhi-Sealdah Rajdhani Express on Monday night after the police received an anonymous tip over the phone.
The train was searched thoroughly when it reached the Dhanbad station after policed received the tip from an unknown caller and three crude bombs were recovered from beneath an unoccupied berth in the D-4 coach.
The train proceeded on its journey after a 30-minute delay. Officials said a more thorough search would be carried out when the train reaches the Gaya station and sniffer dogs would be waiting for it at Mughalsarai.
The bomb, which was recovered at around 8:27 pm, has been taken in for forensic examination in Ranchi. No arrests have been made so far.
