West Bengal Chief Minister Buddhadeb Bhattacharjee on Wednesday slammed the Centre for failing to control the price hike in essential commodities.
“The more the Centre is saying that the price will come down, the more the reverse thing is happening,” the chief minister said while taking potshots at the Centre’s policies.
The chief minister also attacked the Centre on the onion prices saying the government allowed the onion export first and then let import at higher prices.
He also urged the people to take this fight to Delhi and compel the Centre to change their policies to bring down prices.
He also took a jibe at Trinamool Congress saying Railway Minister Mamata Banerjee could not provide job to any one in her department despite over two lakh vacancies.
?Trinamool has got a bit of more votes in last few elections. So what? Should I sit idle for that mere reason?,” Bhattacharjee said.
