CBI to quiz Balwa, Raja together

New Delhi, Feb 9 (IBNS): The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) is set to grill former telecoms minister A Raja and the vice chairman of Etisalat DB Telecom Shahid Balwa together on Wednesday as it tries to unravel the financial irregularities in the 2G spectrum scam.

Also the director of Mumbai-based DB Realty, Balwa was arrested by the federal investigating agency on Tuesday night, in connection with telecoms scandal.

Balwa?s DB Realty is said to have floated Swan Telecom which sold 45 percent stake to Emirates Telecommunications Corp after it bagged 2G licenses in 13 circles and was renamed Etisalat DB Telecom.

The CBI has already named the company as one of those who were unduly favoured by A Raja?s department over spectrum allocation and the investigating agency said that Balwa was arrested over alleged involvement in ?receiving and channelling money for Raja?.
