Cover-up of show-down between Ramdev and Anna-team
Baba Ramdev interrupting Arvind Kejriwal in public on the shared stage at Parliament Street (New Delhi) on 3rd June 2012 for his naming political leaders in graft-cases was not good for a joint fight against corruption.
Baba Ramdev himself has been taking names of so-alleged tainted leaders rather more vigorously, including also even in the same public-meeting.
Even though Arvind Kejriwal might have left the stage due to sickness, but sequence of happenings is more than enough to create doubt in minds of public about a rift and some forced unity between the two groups fighting against black money and corruption.
However spokespersons of government and political parties including the ruling one taking speeches of those fighting against corruption and black money as an attack on institutions, are not justified.
Only good persons can ensure good institutions. Our rules for polls and Parliament are tailor-stitched to suit bad elements to find place in Parliamentary institution.
A new Parliament elected on basis of massive poll-reforms including ‘Right To Reject’ may perhaps result in a good Parliamentary institution which can pass a really effective Lokpal Bill apart from providing a good governance system.
