Leader of the Opposition Sushma Swaraj on Monday demanded a firmer approach to the way the U.S. dealt with Pakistan over its homegrown brand of terror as she met with US President Barack Obama on Monday.
The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader appreciated the manner in which Obama had expressed his concern over the 26/11 terrorist attack in Mumbai.
She said that it would be better for every Indian if US is clear about identifying the ?perpetrators? of the terror attack, which is namely ‘Pakistan’.
Swaraj and Obama discussed on multiple issues including outsourcing and Bhopal Gas tragedy.
She highlighted in the meeting that outsourcing will help both the Indian and the US economies, since it will make the corporations in US more efficient.
Swaraj told Obama that US should dismiss the thought that Asian super-power China can play a role in resolving any dispute in South Asian region.
Besides she also mentioned that US must take an active and firm step to ensure justice to the victims of the Bhopal Gas tragedy that had affected huge numbers of Indians.
The meeting between Swaraj and Obama took place in Hotel Maurya in New Delhi, where the President was staying during his visit to the national capital.
