Digvijay slams Gadkari, demands probe on fraud charges
Reacting sharply over the alleged dubious funding of companies controlled by BJP chief Nitin Gadkari, Senior Congress leader Digvijay Singh wrote to Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and demanded that the BJP chief should be probed on fraud charges.
He also claimed that 18 out of 21 investors firms in Gadkari’s Purti Power and Sugar Limited bought equity more than their capital and four directors were common in these 18 companies.
Singh also said that one of the directors was Gadkari’s driver and other three were his associates. Nitin Gadkari has however, denied the allegations and offered himself for any probe.
