Girls given self defense classes at New Delhi anti rape protest venue

New Delhi  : A Fast-track Court in Saket will hear in a day-to-day trial the gang-rape and murder case of the 23-year-old medical student, whose brutal gang rape shook the nation.

The court will be inaugurated today by the Chief Justice of India. The Delhi Police is putting together a 1000-page chargesheet, against the accused in the case.

Meanwhile, in a unique expression of self-reliance and initiative, a martial arts trainer gave self-defense lessons to girls at the Jantar Mantar monument in New Delhi, saying that giving women the ability to defend themselves would deter potential attackers.
