Panaji : Goa Police have established contact with the woman journalist who has accused Tehelka editor-in-chief Tarun Tejpal of sexual assault, a top officer said here Monday.
“The investigating officer has established contact with the victim,” Deputy Inspector General of Police O.P. Mishra said at a press conference here.
The woman journalist, in her complaint to Tehelka managing editor Shoma Chaudhury, had said that Tejpal sexually assaulted her twice in an elevator in the Club House section of the Grand Hyatt five-star resort here during the news magazine’s ThinkFest conference earlier this month.
Goa Police Sunday questioned Chaudhury and three colleagues – Shougat Dasgupta, G. Vishnu and Ishan Tankha – in Delhi following the accusation that Tejpal, the 50-year-old founder of the news magazine, sexually assaulted the junior colleague.
