Gujarat : As cyclone Nilofar is expected to hit Gujarat coast in a couple of days, authorities have intensified relief and rescue arrangements as precautionary measures to handle the cyclonic storm.

Nilofar, classified as a ‘very severe cyclonic storm’, is expected to weaken to a ‘cyclonic storm’when it makes landfall on the Gujarat coast, according to the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD).
Chief Minister of Gujarat, Anandiben Patel, said bad weather and heavy rainfall has been predicted for coastal regions on October 30-31.
On Monday Gujarat weather office issued a high alert on the cyclone and said the storm has intensified turning into severe one.
