New Delhi, : Calling for all parties to come together to fight terrorism, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Sushma Swaraj Friday said the Hyderabad blasts were a “massive failure”, particularly as there was intelligence information that had been passed on to states.
Initiating a discussion in the Lok Sabha on Thursday evening’s twin blasts, in which 16 people were killed, the leader of opposition said the liability of the government increases as there was intelligence information available.
“The home minister says there was intelligence information that was passed on to states. If there were alerts and the attack was carried out and innocent people were killed… then there is a massive failure,” she said.
“If intelligence was available on terror attacks then the liability of the government is more… what were the state and central governments doing,” she asked.
According to the BJP leader, terrorists have no religion and the country must be united to fight terrorism.
“We must be united and accept that terrorists only follow the code of terrorism,” she said.
Sixteen people died and over 100 others were injured in the blasts in Hyderabad Thursday.
