India condemns Pak minister Shahbaz Bhatti?s killing

India on Wednesday condemned the assassination of Pakistan’s federal minister for Minorities Shahbaz Bhatti who was shot dead by unidentified assailants near his home in Islamabad.

?We convey our heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family, the people and the Government of Pakistan on the tragic assassination of H.E. Shahbaz Bhatti, Federal Minister of Minority Affairs of Pakistan,? said a statement from India?s foreign office.

?We condemn this dastardly crime. In this difficult hour, our prayers and thoughts are with the bereaved family and the people of Pakistan,? it added.

According to reports, Bhatti was fired at by unknown assailants when he was leaving his house in a car in Sector 1-8. He was taken to hospital but died on way.
