IPL scandal: Delhi cops question Raj Kundra
New Delhi : Rajasthan Royals owner Raj Kundra was questioned Wednesday by the Delhi Police in connection with the Indian Premier League (IPL) spot fixing scandal, an officer said.
“We just wanted to know about the selection of S. Sreesanth, Ajit Chandila and Ankeet Chavan in the Rajasthan Royals team,” the officer added.
Apart from Kundra, police also called Rajasthan Royals cricketer Siddharth Trivedi, who is a prosecution witness in the scandal.
“We had called Trivedi along with Kundra,” the officer told IANS.
Trivedi, who has played for Gujarat in the Ranji Trophy, was earlier questioned by police May 30.
Delhi Police have arrested 26 people in the IPL spot fixing case, including Rajasthan Royals players Sreesanth, Chandila and Chavan. Totally, over 60 people have been arrested in various Indian cities in connection with the spot fixing scam.
