IPS officer’s murder: Chouhan orders judicial inquiry

Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan Friday ordered a judicial inquiry into the brutal Holi day murder of Indian Police Service officer Narendra Kumar, run over by a tractor loaded with illegally quarried stones in Morena district when he tried to stop it.

“I have given orders for a judicial inquiry so that a detailed report could be submitted into the incident,” Chouhan told media persons after holding a meeting with senior officials here.

He said the state high court has been requested to appoint a judge to head the inquiry.

The 2009 batch IPS officer was on deputation period and had made sub-divisional officer (police), Banmore, only 45 days back.

“Since he was posted there, he was working very hard and acted tough on illegal mining in the area. His name was terror against criminals,” Chambal Deputy Inspector General D.P. Gupta told reporters.

In this case, vigilant citizens should immediately move SC for CBI Direction or to fix powers of appointed judge to take help of CBI officers. SC can direct Two CBi officer be deputed under the Judge conducting inquiry and status report shouls be filed in Supreme Court every three month.

Judicial Inquiry is less meaning full than CBI Investigation, because,
    1) Sitting Judges of HC are not allowed to head such inquiries.
    2) Retired HC judge cannot investigate, interrogate, or torture suspects to get informations. He cannot give bribes for getting informations. He can only give is finding only on basis of affidavits, applications and reply. No one will come forward to file affidavits because of fear. It consumes times. Sometimes a judicial Inquiry who is given 3 months time to give report, are given extentions upto 30 years by which public anger and media anger dies down and people have forgotten everything.
