Jaswant Singh to build political relations for BJP

The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Monday selected Lok Sabha MP Jaswant Singh for relation building with all political parties.

?BJP National President, Shri Nitin Gadkari has entrusted the task of maintaining continuous contact and relation building with all political parties to Shri Jaswant Singh, MP,? said a party statement on Monday.

Ten months after his expulsion from the party, former external affairs minister Jaswant Singh returned to the fold of BJP on June 24 last year.

Singh was expelled from the party over his controversial remarks in his book on Pakistan founder Mohammed Ali Jinnah.

He had praised Jinnah, while criticizing Sardar Patel in his book, which had led BJP to expel him.

He represents West Bengal?s Darjeeling in the Lower House of the Parliament.
