External Minister SM Krishna on Saturday said Jammu and Kashmir (J&K) is inseparable from India, reacting to China?s controversial remark on the state.
?J&K is inseparable from India?it is an inalienable part of India. I hope the Chinese government respects our sensitivities in the state,? Krishna told reporters here on Saturday.
?We have already taken up the matter with the Chinese Ambassador and hope the Chinese government will understand our concern,? he added.
Recently China has addressed J&K as ?India-controlled Kashmir?, and Gilgit-Baltistan (Pakistan-occupied-Kashmir) as ?Northern Pakistan?.
