A Joint Parlimentary Committee (JPC) probe into the 2G spectrum allocation scam is almost certain, media reports said on Friday.
While news channel CNN IBN quoting its unnamed sources said it is likely to formed after a meeting on Feb 20 to be attended by all parites and convened by Lok Sabha Speaker Meira Kumar, NDTV reports said the Centre might even concede the demand for increasing the strength of such a panel to 30 from 21.
Parliamentary Affairs Minister Pawan Bansal said the JPC is likely to have 30 members- 20 from the Lok Sabha and 10 from the Rajya Sabha.
The JPC might be announced on Feb 22, sources said.
Earlier, opposition Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) patriarch L K Advani said JPC should look into all scams of the UPA regime, inlcuding the Commonwealth Games and Adarsh housing scam.
