Situation in Kashmir is normal and curfew restrictions have been relaxed in most parts of the Valley, said police on Tuesday.
?The curfew restrictions have been relaxed from 12 PM onwards in the areas falling under the jurisdiction of East, West, South and Hazratbal Zones of the Srinagar City,? the Jammu & Kashmir Police said.
?Preceding night passed off peacefully. Situation at this hour is normal and under control throughout Kashmir Valley,? the police added.
Earlier the day (Tuesday), authorities put curfew restrictions in Srinagar city, Gandarbal and Kangan towns, Baramulla town, Pattan, Palhalan, Kunzar and Tangmarg areas of district Baramulla, Kupwara town, Trehgam, Kralpora, areas of district Kupwara and in Handwara town, Kulangam and Chotipora areas of Handwara Tehsil.
However, in the curfew bound areas of Kupwara, curfew restrictions have been relaxed from 10 am onwards, and in Handwara, restrictions were relaxed from 10 am to 2 pm.
At least 108 people were killed in anti-India protests led by the separatists in Kashmir since June 11, prompting the Centre to initiate talks with the various groups in the state, propose greater autonomy and depute an all-party delegation to the Valley.
