Manmohan Singh congratulates Nitish Kumar on retaining power

Prime Minister Manmohan Singh on Wednesday congratulated Bihar chief minister Nitish Kumar as Kumar-led JD(U)-BJP alliance looked poised to retain the power seat in Bihar.

Singh, in a telephonic conversation with Kumar, assured of the Centre?s sustained cooperation with the state government for the cause of development of the state.

The Janata Dal (United)-Bharatiya Janata Party alliance is all poised to sweep the Bihar Assembly polls.

The Opposition parties, including Lalu Prasad?s Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) and the Congress, have failed to take any advantage of the anti-incumbency factor.
