Mayawati thanks oppn parties for supporting quota bill, SP sulking

Elated with the passage of the quota bill on promotions in government services in the Rajya Sabha, Bahujan Samaj Party supremo Mayawati hailed the support of all political parties who voted in favour of it.

Talking to the mediapersons, Congress leader Rajiv Shukla said that the bill was passed unanimously in the parliament by all political parties except regional Samajwadi Party (SP).

Meanwhile, contented to see the bill passed under few amendments, BJP spokesperson Ravi Shankar Prasad said that the central government has ensured that the amendments will remain constitutionally reasonable and fair.
