Lok Sabha speaker Meira Kumar is slated to meet the BJP leaders over a luncheon on Thursday in yet another attempt to help end the Parliament deadlock over a JPC.
Opposition leader in Lok Sabha Sushma Swaraj and BJP leader LK Advani are likely to attend the meeting, reports said.
The party had earlier decided to attend the all party meet convened by Lok Sabha Speaker Meira Kumar to end the logjam over the formation of Joint Parliamentary Committee (JPC) to probe into the telecom scam despite stating that it will not agree to anything less than the JPC.
BJP had been demanding the JPC since the 2G spectrum allocation became public, a demand steadfastly rejected by the ruling Congress.
BJP had also rejected the offer made by Prime Minister Manmohan Singh of appearing before the Public Accounts Committee (PAC) of Parliament in connection with the scam.
The Lok Sabha speaker had tried to pacify the warring political parties earlier as well.
