It refers to misleading clarification by Air India Executive Director Jitender Bhargav on NDTV for mid-term termination of contract with Carib-Jet Incorporated (West Indies) which resulted in rupees 130 crore loss to national airliner. According to more than 100 pages of documents received under RTI Act, the contract had to be cancelled by Air India because leased planes were not air-worthy. But now Jitender Bhargav in order to hide the big mistake at Air India in drafting the agreement with the West Indies Company, is talking of financial-crunch in Air India which led to mid-term termination of the contract. Union civil Aviation Ministry and Air India should reveal the real facts about the case. It should also be investigated and cleared why and how Jitender Bhargav twisted the infamous Carib-Jet episode of mid-term contract-termination from being of defective planes to now of financial crunch. Investigation should also be made in drafting of the agreement which made Air India suffer a loss of rupees 130 crore for the fault of other side leasing defective planes.
