Moderate quake jolts Kashmir

A moderate intensity earthquake rocked parts of Kashmir valley on Monday.

Meteorological department sources said the tremor occurred at 3.19 pm and lasted for about three seconds.

It was epicentred at Lat. 36.5 degree North and Long. 70.9 degree East, at Hindukush region, Afghanistan.

The earthquake measured 5.7 on the Richter scale.

No loss of life or property has been reported yet.
