Mumbai cops detain Jama Masjid suspects
Mumbai : Mumbai Police on Tuesday said they had detained two suspects, who may have links in the attack on two foreign tourists outside Jama Masjid in Delhi.
The suspects were held for questioning in connection with the e-mail, purportedly sent by terror outfit Indian Mujahideen, owning reponsibility for the shootout outside Jama Masjid on Sunday.
The e-mail was transmitted through a cell phone, which was purchased alongwith the sim card in Mumbai by using a fake address.
Immediately after the shootout, an e-mail was transmitted to various newspaper houses, threatening to carry out similar attacks during the coming Commonwealth Games.
