Ahmedabad : Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi on Monday asked Union Home Minister P Chidambaram to explain the colours of terrorism in the Jammu and Kashmir as “he did recently on saffron terror.”
” Now I understand that even the terrorism has its colour as per Union Home Minister P Chidambaramji,” Modi in a retaliatory statement told a seminar of BJP’s youth wing here.
” Now I ask Sri Chidambaram ji if he finds colours of terrorism in the Kashmir Valley and tell us so as he found few weeks ago about saffron terror,” Modi said amidst murmurings
from the audience.
Chidambaram during a function of state police chiefs in New Delhi last month said a new phenomenon of “saffron terrorism” involved in many bomb blasts had been uncovered.
“I would like to ask him what would be the colour of terrorism faced by the people of Kashmir. What would be colour of violence faced by thousands of Kashmiri pandits,” Modi
asked.
Modi said the Congress government was doing nothing when the “Kashmiri Pundits” in the Valley were left helpless due to the violence against them.
“Do you (UPA) have any answer to this,” he asked.
“The vote bank policy of the Congress is eating away the very fabrics of communal sanity,” Modi said, adding the mudslinging policy of the Congress party towards his government would only influence the people to support the “progressive Gujarat government.”
