Nilgiris rain: Schools shut till Tuesday

All schools and colleges in the Nilgiris district of Tamil Nadu have been closed till Tuesday after fresh spells of rain. Close to 2500 people have been evacuated from vulnerable areas of the district. Meanwhile, a third flood alert has been issued in five southern districts of Tamil Nadu, including Madurai, Theni and Ramanathapuram.
