Sacked Commonwealth Games Organising Committee (OC) Chairman Suresh Kalmadi, being investigated for graft during the preparations of the mega event in Delhi, on Saturday said investigating agencies had found nothing to incriminate him.
Speaking to party workers here, the Congress MP from Pune said that he was ready to face any inquiry and answer all questions over the ongoing probes by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI).
He said that despite the raids by the CBI officials all they found were income tax returns and he was still cooperating with the investigating agency that searched three of his bank lockers here on Wednesday.
The lockers had been sealed by the CBI in December last year when it raided Kalmadi?s residential and office properties in the city.
An FIR now seems very likely against the Congress MP from Pune, media reports had said.
Kalmadi had been removed from his position in the OC on Jan 24 by the Union sports ministry after accusations piled up on him and his associates over pulling off a huge financial swindle in the run up to the Games held in Delhi last October.
