Obama, Michelle dance with Mumbai children

After billion dollar deals, it was time for Barack Obama to savour the taste of India’s cultural diversity and be a part of it.

And the US President and his First Lady not just watched, they also took part shaking a leg with the students of a school in Mumbai.

Barrack Obama and his wife Michelle were all relaxed and ebullient as they watched the dance and songs presented by the students of Holy Name High School of Mumbai.

The students performed ?Diwali dance? and “Koli” dance (of the fishermen) for the Obamas as they smiled and clapped. And at one point Michelle Obama joined the children in the dance.

Then the boys invited Barack Obama to join them and the President was all game.

The students of the school also presented a science exhibition on Sunday.

They will visit the city’s St. Xavier?s college and interact with students later.

Obama and wife Michelle will leave for New Delhi this afternoon and reports said that Prime Minister Manmohan Singh will visit the New Delhi airport to receive US President and his wife Michelle.

Obama will visit the iconic Humayun?s Tomb in New Delhi on Sunday, his first stop at the capital.

He will stay at the ITC Maurya hotel in the national capital.

Obama and his wife Michelle arrived India on Saturday in a historic trip beginning with Mumbai, the financial capital of the country and a target of the terrorists the two nations have vowed to combat unitedly.

They will be in India till Nov 9.
