Patiala Gangrape: Victim commits suicide after police delays action

Patiala  : While the nation is already outraged over the brutal treatment of women in the country and is holding anti-rape protests, another gang rape case in Patiala came into light, in which the teenaged rape victim committed suicide after police adopted a monotonous attitude to the proceedings of her case.

The incident had happened in Badshahpur village of Patiala district where the girl committed suicide and left behind a suicide note blaming the police and the rapists for her extreme step.

After the girl committed suicide, the police hastily arrested the rapists and while addressing the media persons, Inspector General (IG) of Patiala Range, Paramjit Singh Gill promised strict action against the offenders.
