Premature to blame any country: India

New Delhi : India Tuesday denied reports that Monday’s attack on an Israeli embassy car was planned by Iran, saying there was “no evidence to name any country” for the strike.

“We have no evidence to name any country. It’s premature to take any country’s name,” Home Secretary R.K. Singh told reporters.

He was asked about Israel blaming Iran for the terror attack that injured the wife of an Israeli diplomat and four Indians.

He said the investigations to crack the bombing were on but so far there was no clue who was behind the attack.

“We don’t have any idea who planted it. There is no material to show involvement of any country. The perpetrators behind the attack will be known only after the investigation is completed.”
