Prithvi II ballistic missile trial fails

Bhubaneswar : Indigenously built nuke-facility Prithvi-II ballistic missile failed to take off during trial from the Integrated Test Range of Balasore’s Chandipur-on-sea in Orissa on Friday.

Defence sources said a technical snag was the cause for fusing the missile from the ITR.

However, there was not much information available from the scientists working at the test range about the failure of the missile, which was capable of carrying nuclear facilities.
